Movies have deleted scenes, everybody knows that. But it’s singular we see deleted diversion scenes, since they’re routinely only 1s and 0s, and if they’re not in the last game, we do not see them. Unless we’re articulate Monkey Island!
While operative on the new Special Edition of the game, Lucasarts’ Adam Bormann says he had to go behind in to the formula for the strange Monkey Island. And whilst in there, poking around for nonplus AI, he found a ton of calm left in the diversion by the developers, together with Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer.
Seems each time the strange developers done a shift to a nonplus or a square of dialogue, they simply left the old things in the code. So Lucasarts have yanked it all out and posted it. Some of it’s all-new content, others combined lines to existent chit-chats, but for fans of the array it’s all great reading.
