Back in the day, the kiddies all ran around with Helios, VK Mobile looked similar to it could be the subsequent Pantech, and “Kickflip” was a phone, not a skateboarding move. Okay, excellent — we knew similar to one or dual people which used Helio, VK Mobile never even done a hole in the US market, and skateboarding had a close on kickflips prolonged prior to the wireless attention did — and actually, which undiluted charge of bad headlines might have in conclusion led the once-promising MVNO to the unhappy incident we have here currently under Virgin Mobile’s stewardship. Virgin has right away all but erased the mental recall of Helio from the website, withdrawal only the Ocean and Mysto to infantryman on — and the phones right away go by their ODM’s names (Pantech and Samsung, respectively) rsther than than Helio proper. The strangest partial is which the Ocean seems to have outlasted the replacement, the Ocean 2, which is right away left — unless you strike up Virgin Mobile’s Korean denunciation site, a sub-brand in itself which it hereditary from Helio and has a lane jot down of giving members of the village better, faster entrance to prohibited devices. Any approach you cut it, though, it never done clarity for Virgin to run dual brands — Helio’s predestine was hermetic the impulse the sale was finalized, but deliberation the company’s spot-on mantra of “bring overwhelming Asian phone tech to North America,” we’ll regularly have a soft mark in the hearts for these guys.
